The Workshop
How 1 in 8 Billion was made
By Jin's Earth, written with Claude
Introduction: A Month on the Workbench
1 min
Eight Lines was the story of what 1 in 8 Billion was born keeping. This book is a record of the same month seen from the workbench. It sets down which requests were made in which words, what blew up and how it was stopped, how money moved, and what the numbers were at the time.
Most of the content comes from the working notes that Jin's Earth and Claude built up over a month. The notes grew to the length of several books, and only what other people can take and use was chosen from them. The real requests and rules are carried over as they were written.
Methods go out of date quickly. The tools and numbers written here will have changed in a few months. So each chapter records why it was done that way along with what was done. Even when the tools change, that judgment remains.
How to read. Every chapter has the same order.
- What to take away: the chapter in one sentence.
- What was done: which passage of Eight Lines it belongs to.
- How: the actual order of steps.
- Numbers: the numbers and dates at the time.
- Originals and templates: the real requests, rule sentences, and templates you can take and use.
- What not to do: what was learned by trying.
You can read from the start in order, or open only the chapters you need. The appendix at the end gathers templates you can take and use right away.
